Cemetery RulesThe Buninyong Cemetery Trust operates under a set of Rules which apply to all apply to all burials, other forms of interment, and associated activities within the Buninyong General Cemetery.
These rules are in accord with
and are intended to be read in conjunction with those rules, regulations or guidelines. These consolidated rules and regulations were approved and adopted at a meeting of the Trustees of the Buninyong General Cemetery held on 19 May 2014, (together with policy decisions taken at Trust meetings after that date). They supersede any previous rules or policies of the Trust. These rules will be deemed to apply to all burials, grave sites and memorials and associated activities in the Buninyong Cemetery. In the case of memorials or other forms of identification or decoration which do not conform to these Rules and Policies, and which were in place prior to this date, the Secretary may contact the relevant holder of the Right of Interment or authorised person to indicate the nature of the non-conforming item, and request modification or removal or other form of alteration to bring about compliance with the relevant rule or policy. Subsequent to this publication, the Trust reserves the right to amend or delete any item contained herein, or to agree to and implement additional rules or policies. In the case of a circumstance or event not being directly or adequately covered by these consolidated Rules of the Buninyong Cemetery Trust, the provisions of the Act, the Statutory Rule, the Manual, or the guidelines of the ACCA, will be deemed to apply.
